5 Secrets to Successful Article Marketing

Marketing | 12 Jan 2011

Article marketing is one of the best ways to breathe life into a website, and it is one of the most effective strategies to continue success once you are ranking high in the search engines. So here are 5 secret tips for marketing your articles in a way that will not only get tons of readers, but will motivate them to buy your product or service as well.
The first thing to consider is the keyword you want to go for. With a search in Google’s keyword tool you can see which keywords are the most competitive for your specific niche. Naturally, you want to choose a keyword that is as un-competitive as possible with the most monthly visits.

Next, make sure to put your keyword in the title, preferably in the first part of it. Also try to have it in the first AND LAST sentence of your article, and maintain a 3-5% density throughout your text. If you don’t know how to use Google keyword finder, feel free to chat with us online and we would be happy to send you the link.
The second secret is to pick a title that is enticing to the reader. If, for example, you are talking about how to successfully manage a business you wouldn’t want to choose a title such as: “How to manage a business,” you would instead choose something along the lines of: “What you must know about successfully managing a business,” or “5 secrets the pros don’t want you to know about managing a business.”

The third secret is to keep your articles short and simple. 400 words are ideal, but it can range from 250-500. Give the reader something good to sink their teeth into but leave them wanting more. Make the most important piece of advice something they have to come to you for, but make sure to give them more value than sales pitch- If you give more than you ask for in return your customers will really respect you for it.

The fourth secret is to end some of your paragraphs with a question. Why?

Because it motivates the reader to come to the next paragraph for the answer, and it gets them one step closer to your resource box at the bottom.

The last secret is to put two links to your website in the resource box. One link should be in your keyword as anchor text and the other in regular linkable text that says something like: “To find out more about effective online marketing click here: https://nightlitemedia.com/email-marketing.”

If you use these tips with your article marketing you will find that your visits (and sales) will increase exponentially. Good luck, happy online marketing and thanks for reading!
